Liana Churliova without makeup may look like your teenage daughter.
Once you see her in costume, makeup, and dancing at her championship level – you will soon realize that she’s a fierce grown woman. Liana is breathtaking to watch, and tactical in her approach to training her dancing.  Here is her story.
1. First time I met Emmanuel 7 years ago. It was at the United States DanceSport Championships in Orlando, Fl. I was dancing in Russia International style which includes Standard and Latin for 11 years and back then never heard of American Style. When I first came to America I wanted to try and experience new style and my friend introduced me to Emmanuel.

2. We had our first tryouts in Orlando and right away we felt the connection. So Emmanuel asked me to stay in America for 3 months and see how it’s going to work. During that time we had our first competition. It was Arthur Murray Superama 2008 in New Orleans. I think that was the moment we realized that it’s actually a really great match.

3. In 2014 we won the United States Championship and it was a very special moment. This is the competition where everything began. It took us 6 years to get the title but I have to say it was amazing 6 years of team work. And on that moment you just feel so grateful to the Universe for your team and your family that give you an opportunity to do what you love.
