19. First-Ever dance class details I was six, and my Mom and I were watching a ballroom dance show on t.v. I wasn’t that interested when, all of a sudden, a man in a mask and cape came on and started singing. (Michael Crawford promoting Phantom of the Opera). I turned to Mom and said, “I want to do that.”

(“that”, being wear a cape and a mask like a super hero).

The very next day i’m in a ballroom dance class scratching my head thinking, “this is pretty fun, but were is my super hero cape and mask?!”

My parents took me to this dance school at aged 6 where I met my first dance teacher (who was sitting in the office chain smoking between lessons).

I wasn’t sure that it was for me until a girl walked in with a new latin dress to show her teacher, and that was it.. I was hooked.
