Arthur Murray Are You Ready to Rock The Flash Formation?

It began as a spur of the moment idea.

The Flash Formation began as a challenge to build teamwork, and excitement, a few weeks before a Medal Ball years ago.  The, pardon the pun, “Flash” of an idea ha since turned into a student, and teacher, favorite.  The friendly rivalry, the great dancing, and the team spirit all give the event the feeling of a Homecoming game – except with ballroom dancing, and grown adults.

Arthur Murray – Are You Ready to Rock The Flash Formation?

If you are new to the Arthur Murray Live family, or if you have yet to participate in the Medal Ball graduation, we put together this video to give you an idea of what it is all about.

The Arthur Murray Medal Ball

The Medal Ball is a graduation from one level of your Arthur Murray Dance program to another.  Looking futher, the goal is to ensure that students can:

1. Get Feedback to enhance what they’ve learned

2. Develop the Skills to dance what they’ve learned in public

3. Set A Strategy for the next level of their Dance Program

The fact that every February it is a fun rock-themed event doesn’t hurt either.  For more ideas, tips, and advice on the Medal Ball, we recommend these articles:

Flash Formation Tips

Every person who participates makes a contribution.   It doesn’t have to be a death defying split leap either.  Students of all skill, and interest, levels coming together for a common purpose is never a bad thing.  In fact, throughout the process of rehearsing the formation, you may end up meeting some new people.  That student who only comes to take their lesson on the day when you work late may be the very person you’re dancing next to.

The more people you know, the more comfortable you feel.  The more comfortable you feel, the easier it is to learn.  So make some time, join the formation, and learn a dance, have some laughs, and give your school a chance to win the trophy.

You don’t need to be a perfect dancer to make a perfect contribution.
