As a highly touted athlete, Joey knows a lot about competition, teamwork, and the occasional underdog story. It was the fall of 2007, and Joey "the baseball player" set out to become Joey "the Arthur Murray professional".

Joey began his career at the Arthur Murray in Hayward. As a new student teacher, Joey worked to help non-dancers make the delicate transition to their dance lessons at Arthur Murray.  When it was time to add a new manager into the, then new, Arthur Murray Livermore location - Joey got the call (up to the majors - baseball cliche alert).

In addition to his work as an executive, Joey has represented the Arthur Murray Live group in the worldwide Arthur Murray skills competition:  The All Stars.  On three separate occasions (2011, 2013, and 2015) he has been apart of the team - winning two out of the three trips. 

What is one off-the-wall weird fact about you?

“I’m a semiprofessional lip sync rapper.”

What’s the best thing about the team you work with?

“They’re crazy! But honestly, out of any job I’ve ever had, these guys genuinely care about each
other and the growth of our studio. It’s like a family and I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
