August 2016.
I studied a particular style of solo dance for years and rarely went outside of that realm. The tipping point was a growing curiosity to learn partner styling. i always looked up to the ballroom dancers that you would see on TV. I wanted to learn how you could move with another person as if you were one unit.
My favorite day at work had to be Extravaganza. Seeing all different routines everyone prepared and how each one had something extraordiary about it and inspired me to really dive into my training.
I like seeing the growth of the students confidence, rhythm and style. When they start to see it for themselves, the change is real. Who wouldn't want to be apart of that process?
The best thing about the team I work with is that everyone has something unique and special to offer to the studio. We work together to create the best experience possible for each and every student.
Very exciting, up beat and inspiring environment. Always people dancing and learning...its a great place to be in if you want to grow as a dancer.
My biggest accomplishment I was most proud of was when I taught my first group class. I had nothing but positive feed back from both students and teachers at the studio.
I think the weirdest thing about me is that I dance all the time everywhere I go. It is hard for me to turn off my creativity when it comes to movement. I learn a new way to move my body everyday so I can always be getting better.
Professional Dancer for independent projects in television and film.
The things that set Arthur Murray apart from other dance studios is that they understand how to take a challenging skill and make it fun, quick and easy. We break it down in such away that anybody at any level can learn to dance.
2017 is off to a great start for Kevin Fields. In addition to auditioning for So You Think You Can Dance, Kevin made a successful transition to the Arthur Murray team in Redwood City where he has made an immediate impact as a teacher.
